Last Friday, we attended the conference ‘Samling kring lägerelden’, which is organised annually by Heimbygda, Jamtli, Region Jämtland Härjedalen, and the County Administrative Board of Jämtland. This year's theme was ‘Cultural heritage as a mobilising force, with a focus on local mobilising forces linked to local history and cultural heritage.’ It was a day filled with exciting lectures and panel discussions on topics such as the National Archives, mountain pasture culture and the Sami cultural landscape. During lunch, there was also a ‘marketplace’ where participants could walk around and meet exhibitors, both organising organisations and other actors, to hear the latest news, network and take home new insights. It was really appreciated and we look forward to next year's conference!
